Ascension Catholic Community Ministry of Intercession for December 2010

As we pray for our intentions this month let us remember that Jesus Christ is the light of the world, a light which no darkness can quench. This Christmas season let us ask His guidance throughout the coming year.

For the Holy Father’s intention that our personal experience of suffering may be an occasion for better understanding the situation of unease and pain which is the lot of many people who are alone, sick or aged, and stir us all to give them generous help.

Missionary: That the people of the earth may open their doors to Christ and to His Gospel of peace, brotherhood and justice.

We pray for the people in Haiti that they may receive the help they need.

Jesus, comfort the victims of domestic violence, street violence, and victims of war and terrorism.

We pray for all those traveling this holiday season. May they be safe and enjoy being with friends and family.

May the members of Ascension Parish share their time, money and influence to relieve the needs of other families in the community.

Emmanuel, bring comfort and console all who are grieving a loss of any kind. Bless support groups that seek to help people deal with loss.

We pray for all who have died and the sick and suffering members of Ascension Parish.

Peace and Joy be yours this Christmas Season.
