The Thirty Hidden Years
May 17, 2009 | Leave a Comment
The intimate union between Jesus and Mary,
spanning the thirty hidden years, attracts me
more and more; it dazzles me as does a light
that is to bright; it inebriates me as does a
perfume too sweet and penetrating.
I am loved by these two who love each other.
They long for nothing more than to share with
me their mutual tenderness, drawing me into
the intimacy of their united hearts.
They unite with me in showing me how one
loves in God, enabling me to make truly real
this total simple gift of self.
I believe in the profound movement of their
whole being towards mine, that I may enter
into them; that I may open the door of that
silent house where God abides.
