Sounding the Silence

Prayer at its very core is embracing the here and now of our existence.

There are no other set of circumstances in which we can meet God.

God is Alpha and Omega.

He is eternally present in each moment that we journey through.

God never comes to meet us in some distant future set of circumstances.

He does not wait for us in a future paradise where all will be well.

Paradise is regained within us here and now.

From deep within God calls out to us at this very moment.

Prayer of the heart is to come to a place of inner quiet amidst the changes of this passing world.

It is to believe in Gods love and compassion for all men and woman.

God is the God of all people.

In His wisdom God leads all people to walk many different paths to the same destination.

Today we can receive Gods love.

We can be still and know that He is God at this very moment.

Take today and live it with all its joys and sufferings.

It will lead you to seek the God dwelling silently within.

Receive in faith and hope that which is simply before you.

If it wounds you do not turn away.

Remember from Christ’s wounds we are healed.

If it brings joy and peace give glory to God, but do not seek to hold on to it.

Silence becomes the fullness of our many words.

It is the completion of all the questions that we face together.

It is our final act of faith and hope in God;

Beyond mortal time, sin, suffering and death, all will be well, because all is well.
