The Heart of Carthusian Life

“At its heart, the wellspring of Carthusian life is divine love, and
the goal of our lives is divine love; and the way into which formation
seeks to move us can be nothing other than divine love, that is the
love of God poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who dwells in
us. The Spirit alone can search the depths of God, the Spirit alone
communicates the life and love of God, the Spirit alone, the anointing
that teaches us from within, is able to guide us in the ways of God,
unto the Father.”
