Benedict XVI appointed Father Ghaleb Moussa Abdalla Bader of the clergy of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Algiers.Archbishop-designate Bader, 56, succeeds Archbishop Henri Teissier, 78, who retired.
The archbishop-designate brings with him ample experience in interreligious dialogue with Islam.
