A man named Joseph Sobran has written an article that is interesting reading titled Cruel Doctrine. In this column he gives an intelligent discourse to common objections against revealed religion. Its arguments may be applied to other doctrines not mentioned as well, such as extra Ecclesiam nulla salus.
