    Praise be Jesus Christ

The Lord has been great to us and we are happy

We would like to tell you that our Sister Maria Fanny will not need surgery, now that the Lord does great works with his daughters, especially with her.

The doctor, who attended her this morning ( May 16th), when they were going to hospitalize her, gave us the news that there was a conference of the doctors. They studied the x-rays and found out that the tumor she had has shrunk and for the time being they are considering that it may not be malignant; Therefore, they decided to postpone the surgery for another two months to see how the progress will continue.

We see clearly that your prayers were very efffective, for which we are greatly thankful and continue to remember us in your holy prayers; as for the same,we will offer ours in gratitude to the answer of the Lord

Thank you merciful Jesus for the safe delivery of our healthy son. It was a difficult pregnancy that was considered high-risk but we prayed throughout and asked for many other prayers and trusted in God’s perfect will. All the Glory, honor and praise go to our Lord. And many thanks to the blessed Mother for her kind and eager intercession.

On Tuesday, April 15, I was admitted to the hospital where I had three cardiac arrests in a short period of time. The hospital chaplain and my parish priest came to administer the anointing of the sick. I prayed for Father McGivney’s intercession. I am now home recuperating.

I was informed of the condition of a friend and co-worker and was asked to pray for her. She had inoperable brain tumors and was going through the final stages of cancer. I asked the members of the Knights of Columbus council to pray for her and started asking for Father McGivney’s help. Today, I have received news that the tumors appear to be shrinking. The doctors have no explanation for it. They have used the word “miracle.”

We thank ALL of you for your prayers, blessed candles and kind thoughtful words of advice! We want you all to know that as soon as I lit the blessed candle here and then sent out the petition to all of you on Sunday night, the storm began to die down. I am certain that all of your prayers from around the world helped us to avert serious damage and harm. Thousands of gallons of water have flowed through our basement these past days… we tried to keep up with it with a wet vac but it filled up minutes later… so it continues….

We are still experiencing seeping of water through our walls and floors of our basement. There are puddles everywhere! I am currently doing my laundry while standing in water—However there was no damage done to the inventory of the Apostolate! Also no walls collapsed at this time-which we were ( and still are) concerned about. We are supposed to have more rain tomorrow— Please pray that it does not happen as it will only make matters worse for all who are suffering from these floods! Below are some links to see more of the storm- please pray for all of those who have lost their family members and material goods!

Thank you kindly for including my mother, Teresa Vélez, in your prayers. Her surgery was a success and was recovering ahead of schedule. We spent a week with her and she was overjoyed to meet her first great grandson. Please, continue prayer for her full recovery.
    In Christ,
    -P.

Thank you my almighty God and Father for your help and saving Grace especially in the past few years. My prayers for my daughter and I have been constant and I know all thanksgiving, glory, praise and honor are to thee. We have faced denial and discrimination but you have come to our aid. We now have food, clothing, shelter and even a car that works. Somehow my daughter did graduate from high school, complete her college training, and find a job. I think that “somehow” is called many Blessings and Miracles from God. God has allowed things to happen in our life that are hard to accept but all has worked for our good. It has increased our gifts of the Holy Spirit greatly. We plan to become Third Order Franciscans and with our knowledge and skills hope to help and advocate for several disadvantaged and discriminated groups. Jesus, Mary and Joseph we humbly thank you and we forgive all those who have offended us.
