DALLAS, Texas – Benedict XVI appointed Auxiliary Bishop Kevin Farrell of Washington, D.C., as bishop of Dallas. The 59-year-old prelate succeeds Bishop Charles Grahmann, 75, who stepped down for reasons of age.

LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana – Benedict XVI appointed Monsignor Glen Provost of the Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana, as the bishop of Lake Charles.
